It's soccer and golf in one! It's FOOTGOLF ! This new sport is sweeping the country and you can play with the Echo family in our First Annual Footgolf Outing on September 21st at 3:00 at Juday Creek Golf Course. It will be very similar to a traditional golf outing with a scramble format. Attached is a Team Registration Form. This outing will be the first of its kind in the area and spots will fill fast, so register early and reserve your team's spot.
Teams should consist of four players. Kids of all ages can play, but if the team has anyone under the age of 12, then one of the four team members must be an adult. If you want to play, but don’t have a team, please let us know and we can try to match you with other individuals looking for a team.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd places in two divisions: adult division (all four players 16 or over) and youth division (at least 3 players under 16). Prizes will also be awarded for proxy winners, including longest drive, closest to the pin, straightest drive, and longest putt.
Appropriate golf course attire is required and footgolf attire is encouraged (yes, argyle socks!). Anyone can play in the outing; you do not have to be an Echo parent or player.
If you aren’t interested in playing, but would like to be a part of the fun, please reserve your spot for dinner and prize announcements following the outing.
Thanks and we hope to see you on September 21st!

U13 Blue Honors Family Friend and Supports Their New Charity
On July 18, 2014 our very close family friends, Tonya and Paul Elias, lost their 10 1/2 yr old daughter, Brookelyn Elias, in a tragic accident.
Brookelyn was a lovely girl who was close in age with our daughter Kayla (who is on the Echo U13 Blue team) and loved soccer very much too. She had recently been invited to play for the U11 Grand Rapids Crew team.
In her memory the Elias family is collecting soccer items (eg, shin guards, clothes, shoes etc) and donations for soccer scholarships in her name for underprivileged children. $75.00 will provide a child with the opportunity to play soccer.
Therefore, the Echo U13 Blue girls have volunteered to collect items and donations to honor her memory. Additionally, they will be wearing Brookelyn's Crew number, #9, on their socks during the upcoming GR Crew tournament Aug 23-24.
We would be so grateful to any other teams that might be interested in contributing any soccer items (used is fine!) or donations as well!
Please contact us at 574-217-2067 (Michelle) or 574-217-2028 (Jim).
Thank you so much,
